MAKE EVERYDAY MEALS EASY AND FUN!
Learn to create recipes that fit your personal tastes, lifestyle and budget.
Cooking Classes
Cooking is my favorite thing to do and I want you to love it too! Soon you’ll be able to cook off book, no matter what you have in the kitchen.
Learn basics such as baking bread to home-made sauces or request help with specific recipes. Classes are private for you or a group and are to you.
Personalized Coaching
Meal time can be difficult, so let’s work together to remove the stress from worrying about what’s for dinner. I’ll help you tailor meal plans for the week, budget your grocery list, show you how to meal prep and more!
Alternative Diets
Some people can eat whatever they want, others have restrictions like allergies, medical conditions, lifestyle diets or just trying to cut calories. When it comes to restrictive diets, it’s important to focus on what you can eat, not what you can’t and I’m excited to help you discover all of the amazing ingredients and meals available to you!
BREAD BAKING BASICS
Learn to make basics like sandwich bread, bagels, pita, and crusty baguettes. Class runs about 4 hours and take place in your own kitchen (I bring all the ingredients and necessary equipment to you) or can be held virtually.
Come hang out for brunch! This is a group class where you’ll learn to make scotch eggs, honey and fig whipped ricotta, and bananas foster french toast. Class runs from 2 to 4pm, is BYOB and PJs are encouraged
A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Lancaster, PA, playing in creeks and climbing things I shouldn’t have. When I wasn’t covered in mud, I was in the kitchen, experimenting and mixing together different ingredients (generally sugar and Oreos) to create what my mom called concoctions, trying to see what combinations tasted best. As I grew my concoctions became more sophisticated, including pies, muffins and cakes. After college, where I studied nutrition, I began eating a largely plant-based diet and became fascinated with replicating my favorite foods with vegan ingredients. While I am no longer vegan, plant-based recipes are to this day my favorite to make, since they require a little extra creativity and often use cheaper ingredients (vegan crab cakes using jackfruit instead of crab are amazing, for a fraction of the price).
While cooking is one of my favorite things, my relationship with food hasn’t always been easy. I had an eating disorder for years and have dealt with financial hardship that kept grocery budgets incredibly tight. It’s these experiences that have helped shape me as a person and understand that we’re all unique with different situations and obstacles to work with.
My goal is to help you reduce stress and feel in control of your life by helping you with one of the most important day to day tasks: feeding yourself. Instead of focusing on restrictions and specific food recommendations, I take into account who you are as a whole: what are your goals, what’s your lifestyle, how are your skills in the kitchen, etc. Together we look at the whole spectrum and break that down into something manageable. I’ll help you with everything from meal planning to plating, so that eating the way you want is also something you enjoy.
Currently I live with my husband and our ever-growing number of rescue cats in Reading, PA.
